Inside/Counter Sales
Southern California Air Conditioning Supply Company Inc is looking for a sales representative to join our team in our office. This person will actively engage customers who enter our location to sell our products. The ideal candidate is experienced with the HVAC industry, able to problem solve, aid contractors with product acquisitions, results-driven, hungry for customer acquisition, and passionate about contributing to top-line revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate, promote, and sell Southern California Air Conditioning Supply Company’s products - Strategically present functionality and key value propositions to prospective customers.
- Develop and foster relationships - Maintain close communications to close sales and promote customer retention.
- Meet and exceed targets - Achieve monthly and quarterly individual and team goals for new customer acquisition.
- Research and understand target market - Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and Southern California Air Conditioning Supply Company Inc.’s overall market opportunity.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years experience in HVAC or construction-related industries
- Excellent ability to manage and build customer and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed acquisition goals
- Advanced skills in communicating and selling
- Unrelenting drive to understand and meet customer needs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Our History:
Southern California Air Conditioning Supply Co. was started on April 1,1974 by Len Blottin and Dave Dennison. Home base has always been in El Cajon, California. In 1978 they opened a second store in Escondido California and it remained open until 1982, and was closed due to the 1980 recession. In 1985 Len and Dave incorporated the company so they could start a company retirement plan that included all the employees. The primary product lines that they represented and sold were mostly the air handling items such as duct work, grills and registers, fans and venting products. They also included dust and exhaust systems. They always had an inside store to stock tool and sundry items. For the first year, the only thing that they sold was register & grill products from environmental air products in Tucson Arizona, and rotary turbine vents from Triangle Engineering from Dallas Texas. In the second year, they were able to start selling metal duct and all the fittings that were supplied by Noll Mfg from Richmond California. That was when we began to really grow. In April or May 1976 we moved into our new home on 683 Vernon way in El Cajon, where it was our home for over 40 years. Southern California Air Conditioning Supply Co has averaged having from twelve to fifteen employees for the last 20 years and are very proud to say we have many employees that have been with the company over 20 years and two over 30 years. We believe longevity in employees is one of the greatest assets and the strength of a company. In April 1st 2006 Southern Cal moved to the present facility and have been very happy with all the room and a great parking lot for the customers to park. Our building is 20,000. square feet and the lot is probably another 50,000 square feet.
